Long Live the Queen

As the old saying goes, "it's never too late" here's a good example; The Queen of England is going green. A recent Reuters' article reports Queen Elizabeth is invested in producing the world's largest wind turbine. The project will be constructed by her property management company which owns much of the offshore seabed around Britain. The 7.5 megawatt capacity wind turbine will be built by London's Clipper Windpower and should be functional by 2010. The Queen's estate normally leases offshore property for wind farm projects but this is the first time investing in wind turbines. The location of the huge turbine project has not been determined yet, but is expected to be built in the north-east area of England. Power produced by the huge turbine will be sold to the national grid.
